Cup of Joe Games is a 1-man studio that makes offbeat, accessible games fusing modern and retro game mechanics.
Joe Rothenberg began making video games in middle school. In college he majored in animation, but the class that made blew his mind was Game Design Workshop. After graduating, he didn't seriously consider making games for a living until two friends encouraged him. That's when he started Cup of Joe Games. In March 2014, Cup of Joe Games released its first app, Nerdy Workout.
Joe's design sensibility has been heavily influenced by the work of Richard Terrell (critical-gaming.com) and Daniel Johnson (danielprimed.com), particularly Dan's excellent book Game Design Companion.
